Coventry City Being Backed To Beat Norwich City And Make FA Cup Fourth Round

Coventry City are coming in for support for a minor FA Cup upset when they make the trip to Carrow Road for Saturday lunchtime’s third round clash in front of the BT Sport cameras.

The tie will be the Sky Blues’ second trip to face Norwich City in just over a month after their league clash at the end of November ended in a 1-1 draw thanks to Maxime Biamou’s late equaliser.

The same result is rated as a 6/1 shot, a scoreline which would send the tie to extra-time with no replays taking place in this year’s competition. The chances of the tie being forced into an extra 30 minutes have been clipped this week into 13/5 from 7/2.

The locals haven’t been shy in getting behind a Coventry cup run. There’s a bit of confidence out there that they can gather momentum after getting back to winning ways against Millwall.

Former Canaries striker Mark Robins will be hopeful of getting one over his old employers after Coventry’s second win on the road in four matches against Millwall last weekend, a result which saw the Sky Blues shorten into 15/8 from 5/2 to bag a place in the fourth round draw.

Manchester City are the favourites to go all the way and lift the trophy at Wembley, with Coventry out at 200/1, 34 years on from their memorable victory over Tottenham in the final.
