Coventry City Trimmed For Second Successive Victory Against Nottingham Forest

Matt Godden is being backed by Coventry locals to add to his tally when Mark Robins takes his side to face Chris Hughton’s Nottingham Forest side on Wednesday evening.

The hosts have failed to win either of their last seven games at home, all of which have seen them concede the first goal of the match.

The Sky Blues are 15/8 from 5/2 with BoyleSports to keep that run going with the first goal of the game, with Godden shortening into 6/1 from 13/2 to open the scoring at the City Ground.

Some of the stats are falling in Coventry’s favour and that hasn’t gone unnoticed ahead of Wednesday night’s encounter.

Robins’ side are coming off the back of a morale-boosting 3-2 victory over league leaders Reading which saw them drift to 11/4 from 2/1 for relegation, with Wycombe (1/10), Sheffield Wednesday (6/5) and Rotherham (2/1) the three sides being favoured by punters to drop to League One.

A second successive victory for the visitors has shortened slightly from 4/1 to 10/3 as they seek to become the first Coventry side to beat a Hughton-led team in the league at the fifth attempt.
