Crystal Palace Boss Leads Premier League Sack Race Odds

Roy Hodgson is the manager in most danger of being the first to lose his job in the new Premier League season, according to the betting ahead of kick-off this weekend.

Crystal Palace begin their campaign at home to Southampton this Saturday but his side face trips to Old Trafford and Stamford Bridge in two of their following three fixtures of the new campaign.

The former England boss has been backed into 9/2 from 5/1 to be the first managerial casualty of the new season, putting him ahead of Steve Bruce and David Moyes.

Bruce’s prospects have improved, however, with new addition, £20m striker Callum Wilson, added to the Newcastle ranks, seeing him eased to 5/1 from 4/1 on Monday.

Former Everton and Manchester United boss David Moyes is 6/1 third favourite from 8/1 after his West Ham side shipped five goals to Bournemouth in a friendly defeat on Saturday.
