Donegal Punter Over €9,000 Richer Thanks To Four Winners

A County Donegal punter is toasting their Horse Racing knowledge after a small flutter landed them just short of €10,000 on Tuesday.

The customer, who wishes to remain anonymous, picked out four horses in a BoyleSports shop across Tuesday’s cards and placed them into a €1 accumulator, before adding a €0.40 Lucky 15 on the same selections, totalling a stake of €6.

The unlikely bet got off to a flyer when 14/1 shot Hoke Colburn won the 4.20 at Huntington, while Sesame (5/1) and Tikkanen Express (11/1) followed up quickly at Leicester and Punchestown respectively.

Any nerves watching the final selection were put to bed when 4/1 joint favourite Versifier romped home by 8 lengths in the 5.30 at Hereford. The €1 accumulator was transformed into a €5,400, while the €0.40 Lucky 15 added €3,843.40 to the total winnings.

The customer was therefore able to return to the shop and walk away with a grand total of €9243.40 for their total investment of €7.
