A County Dublin punter kicked off the week in spectacular fashion when their miniscule EuroMillions bet resulted in a windfall of over €10,000.

The bet, which was placed in one of BoyleSports’ Dublin shops, had a total stake of just 35cent and consisted of the numbers 7, 9, 20 and 33. The numbers, when drawn in Tuesday’s EuroMillions Plus draw, defied staggering odds of 33,000/1 and bagged the punter an impressive €11,550 return.

However the punter’s luck may not stop there as the bet also included a number of 35cent accumulators on various four number selections for Friday’s EuroMillions draw.

Should one of their accumulators click it would see them double up on their winnings and walk away with over €20,000 for just 70cent.
