Irish White Christmas Odds Getting Shorter Following Support

The odds of a White Christmas in Ireland are still getting shorter as the big day continues to draw closer.

Met Éireann have played down the chances of snow falling in Ireland this Friday, but it hasn’t stopped punters trying to bag a Christmas bonus if the cold temperatures this week result in a flurry of festive snow.

We were offering 6/1 last week on the chances of a White Christmas,

but those odds have been gradually evaporating with just 10/3 being quoted on Tuesday.

The odds are going in the opposite direction north of the border, with Belfast International Airport drifting out to 6/1 from 4/1 to be greeted with a sprinkling of Christmas snowfall.

Forecasters are going cold on the idea of a White Christmas but the betting suggests that many are still holding out hope for a payout this weekend!
