London Rose Tightens Grip On Rose Of Tralee Crown

The 57 Roses of the Rose of Tralee festival began their Rose Tour today in Kildare and will make their way to Tralee for the festival which gets underway on Friday 17th August.

London Rose Grainne Hawkes has further strengthened her position as the firm favourite to take over from current Rose of Tralee Jennifer Byrne, following more support from punters.

We can reveal that Grainne, a 26-year-old law graduate from Trinity College, emerged as the early 11/1 favourite when the market opened first, but was quickly backed into 11/2 as her supporters got behind her.

Now with just over a week until the 2018 Rose of Tralee is crowned,

London Rose Grainne has completely broken away from the other 56 competing Roses and is the short 11/4 favourite.

The latest big mover in the market is Queensland Rose Sarah Griffin-Breen, a fellow law graduate who also holds a Bachelor of Biomedical Science. Sarah, whose mother is from Limerick, was backed into the new 8/1 second favourite from her large 33/1 odds on Monday. With roots in Limerick we have seen a lot of support come from the Treaty County for Queensland.
