Wexford Punter Smashes EuroMillions Odds Off SuperYankee Stake

A County Wexford punter won’t be forgetting their Tuesday night in a hurry after a flutter on their lucky Lotto numbers paid off in the shape of a five-figure windfall.

The anonymous customer struck it lucky in a local BoyleSports shop when they picked out five numbers for the main EuroMillions draw and placed them into a €0.50 Super Yankee, amounting to a total stake of €13.

They were aiming high with modest stakes but their ambition paid off and we wish them happy spending.

They only needed two of the numbers to land to guarantee a return and stood to win over €340,000 if all five numbers dropped.

While that dream was quickly dashed when 28 rolled out first, a mouth-watering consolation was lying in wait as the remaining four numbers, 16, 25, 39 and 40 were four of the five selected.

Only number 5 let the Wexford winner down, but the four numbers overcame odds of 33,000/1 and were enough to see their stake transformed into a mega total of €19,805.50.
