Wozilroy Slashed For Dubai & Aussie Success

Ex-lovebirds Caroline Wozniacki and Rory McIlroy could be reunited this weekend in the sporting winners enclosure after they both took a major step towards winning their respective events early on Thursday morning.

The ‘Wozilroy’ double would have paid 90/1 before their events kicked off,

…but strong support from punters has seen the price plunge into 15/2 with both on the brink of simultaneous success.

Caroline Wozniacki saw off the challenge of Belgian Elise Mertens in the Australian Open to reach her third major final and is now 11/10 to beat Simona Halep in Melbourne, knowing a victory would shoot her to the top of the World Tennis rankings.

Her ex-fiancé Rory McIlroy meanwhile made a strong start at the Emirates Golf Club, shooting seven birdies in a blemish-free opening round to sit just two shots behind the leader in the Dubai Desert Classic. He has shortened into the 9/4 favourite for the event having opened up at 5/1 at the start of the week.

The couple had been together for over two years before infamously announcing they were splitting up just days after sending out invitations to their wedding.
