Derry Girl Supported In Betting Market

Derry girl Brooke Scullion has made an early move up the betting to win Dancing With The Stars after impressing judges and viewers alike with her opening performance.

The Bellaghy singer surged to the top of the leaderboard on week one after wowing judges with her Salsa alongside pro partner Maurizio Benanato and punters have been quick to snap up the odds on her lifting the glitterball trophy come the end of the series.

Brooke Scullion had the top score after wowing judges with her Salsa alongside pro partner Maurizio Benanato and the Bellaghy singer is also right in the mix having been gambled into 3/1 second favourite from 7/1.

Lawrence Lyons, spokesperson for BoyleSports said:

Brooke Scullion’s routine certainly hit the right note with punters because she’s been all the rage since she took to the dancefloor.

“Her opening score was the highest ever of any debutant on the show, so it’s no surprise to see her emerge as one of the early favourites.”

Panti Bliss Impresses In Opening Show

Panti Bliss has made an early move up the betting to win Dancing With The Stars after impressing judges and viewers alike on the opening week of performances.

The County Mayo drag queen was joint second on the leaderboard after an impressive cha-cha-cha to Whitney Houston hit ‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody,’ which was awarded 23 points by the judges.

Boylesports have since been forced to clip the odds on Panti Bliss winning the glitterball trophy into 5/2 from 7/2, making Rory O’Neill’s alter ego the new favourite to be crowned champion come the end of the series.

Entrepreneur Suzanne Jackson is also trending in the right direction at 6/1 from 8/1 after a strong opening score of 23, but former Gaelic footballer Paul Brogan is in danger of being subject to the first elimination as he is now rated the 33/1 outsider of the 11 contestants.

Footballer Stephanie Roche started the opener as favourite, but her score of 13 points left her propping up the leaderboard and her chances have now been pushed out to 6/1 from 5/2.

Lawrence Lyons, spokesperson for BoyleSports said:

The betting has been shaken up after the first dances and Panti Bliss is the contestant who stood out the most for punters – so we have a new favourite as a result.

“Brooke scullion also caught the eye with the highest ever opening score, so it’s no surprise to see her well supported too.”
