Gerwyn Price Backed To Dethrone MVG At BoyleSports World Grand Prix

BoyleSports World Grand Prix

Outright Betting

Gerwyn Price is now the main danger to Michael van Gerwen’s bid for a sixth BoyleSports World Grand Prix title according to a betting shake-up following a night of upsets at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.

Seeds Daryl Gurney, Peter Wright and Nathan Aspinall were all toppled but the reigning BoyleSports Grand Slam of Darts champion Gerwyn Price saw off Jermaine Wattimena to join Michael van Gerwen as one of only two seeds left in the competition.

Price has since been gambled into 3/1 second favourite from 11/2, with defending champion Van Gerwen holding on to favouritism at 15/8.

There were some major movers from the bottom half of the market, including Gabriel Clemens, whose victory over 6th seed Nathan Aspinall saw his chances of a TV title clipped into 33/1 from his opening price of 80/1. Simon Whitlock is a 40/1 shot from 100/1.
