Steve Beaton and James Wade are the only two players to have competed in every UK Open since the tournament’s inception in 2003. Beaton is 300/1 in the betting to win this year’s title but Wade has already seen his odds cut to win it for a fourth time.

The Machine was crowned the champion in 2008 and 2011 and will head to Minehead this weekend to try and defend his crown having won the title last year behind closed doors in Milton Keynes.

We have already trimmed Wade into 40/1 from 50/1, but he is still a long way off the market leaders.

It’s no surprise to see World Number One, Gerwyn Price heads the betting at 7/2 following his incredible purple patch last month.

The Iceman went to Belfast for Week 3 of the Premier League and not only was he crowned the winner but recorded two sensational 9-darters on his way to glory.

Gezzy then followed that victory up by defending his International Darts Open title in a thrilling final against World Number 2 Peter Wright in Riesa.

Snakebite will be going out of his way to steal the World Number One spot from Price with his odds at 6/1. Another Welshman that is popular in the market is Jonny Clayton with his chances also rated at 6/1.

Recent Masters winner Joe Cullen is 16/1 with the likes of Luke Humphries (33/1) and Chris Dobey (66/1) some bigger priced players that could come in under the radar.
