The draw for the 2020 BoyleSports World Grand Prix was made on Monday morning and reigning champion Michael van Gerwen remains the favourite despite his odds drifting.

The Dutchman scooped his fifth title at the 2019 BoyleSports World Grand Prix in Dublin, but he has been eased out to 10/3 from 5/2 to claim the honours for the third year in a row as he prepares to defend at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry next week.

Plenty of support is now arriving for Gerwyn Price following his brilliant performance to win the World Series of Darts Finals in Salzburg earlier this month.

The Welshman is now the 11/2 joint second favourite from 8/1, placing him alongside World Champion Peter Wright.

Gary Anderson is a 10/1 shot, with Nathan Aspinall at 11/1.

There are some mouth-watering clashes to look forward to in the opening round starting on October 6th which sees Rob Cross (13/8) against Gary Anderson (4/9), while van Gerwen is the red-hot 2/5 favourite to get off to a winning start against 7/4 shot Krzysztof Ratajski.

A repeat of last year’s semi-final is also on the cards in the opening round with Glen Durrant the 1/2 favourite to see off 2019 runner-up Dave Chisnall (6/4). Chizzy is a 40/1 shot to go one better this year while Durrant has been eased out to 14/1 from 9/1 following the draw.
