Peter Wright Favourite To Secure Second World Darts Championship Title
Peter Wright and Michael Smith will meet in the 2021/22 World Darts Championship Final on Monday night at Ally Pally and we have reported that huge support is arriving for “Snakebite” to lift the Sid Waddell trophy for the second time.
Wright got the better of former champion Gary Anderson on Sunday night with a 6-4 victory while breaking the record for the number of 180s in a match, a sensational twenty-four.
His odds have already started to shorten as he is the 8/11 favourite from 4/5 to become the champion again.
Michael Smith made his 6-3 win over James Wade look easy as the world number nine recorded sixteen 180s along with a 100.98 average to see himself cruise into his second World Darts Championship Final.
Punters have eased off their support for Bully Boy however as he is now 11/10 from 21/20 to record his first win on the Ally Pally stage.
