SUPER BOOST
Webster is predicting Michael van Gerwen and Gerwyn Price to win the opening quarter-finals with those odds boosted to 11/8 from 11/10.

Michael van Gerwen v James Wade
“Looking ahead to night eight in Birmingham and kicking things off are Michael van Gerwen and James Wade. Michael van Gerwen has won a couple of nights now and was runner-up last week to Joe Cullen. I was impressed with how he won on the Pro Tour last weekend and I think he will get by James Wade in the first quarter-final of the night.”

Joe Cullen v Gerwyn Price
“Awaiting Michael will be the winner of Joe Cullen v Gerwyn Price. As impressed as I was with Cullen last week, I was even more impressed with Gerwyn Price winning a Pro Tour despite an injury to his hand. I think he will just about get by Cullen here as I expect it to be close, but Gezzy to win in perhaps a last leg decider.”

Peter Wright v Gary Anderson
“The third quarter-final is an all-Scottish affair with Peter Wright and Gary Anderson going head-to-head yet again. Anderson is in much better form and was unlucky last week against Joe Cullen and let the game slip. I don’t see him letting this one slip and I can see Gary getting past Wright here and making it through to the semi-finals.”

Jonny Clayton v Michael Smith
“The last quarter-final sees Jonny Clayton take on Michael Smith. It’s an indifferent Clayton against a much-improved Smith, despite that UK Open heartbreak. Smith has been in pretty good form and I think the Bully Boy will beat the Ferret and make the semi-finals.”

I think Gerwyn Price will win the final with 7/2 available at BoyleSports.

Charity Bet for Parkinson’s UK
BoyleSports have offered Webster a £200 charity bet for every week of the Premier League. He has chosen Michael Smith to win his quarter-final match with a FULL HOUSE against Jonny Clayton with proceeds going to Parkinson’s UK. It was 5/2, but it has been boosted to 3/1.
