Michael Van Gerwen and Peter Wright were the first to book their places in the World Matchplay Darts semi-finals and will face off on Saturday evening.

Van Gerwen is now a five figure loser for BoyleSports with punters rushing to back him following his quarter final win over Ian White and is now priced at 3/4 to win the tournament.

Peter Wright has been cut into 9/1 in the outright betting, having been 28/1 at the start of the tournament, ahead of his semi-final clash with Van Gerwen. Wright is the 3/1 underdog to see off Van Gerwen, who is expected to claim his spot in the final with ease at 1/4.

We’ve also priced up a nine dart finish in the tournament, which looks unlikely at this late stage at 3/1.
