Djakadam Heads BoyleSports Chase Betting

As part of our continuous support of major Irish Horse Racing sponsorships, we’re delighted to sponsor the BoyleSports Chase formerly known as the Leopardstown Chase on January 18th at Leopardstown racecourse which also sees the €100K BoyleSports Hurdle take place on the same day.

We are delighted to be associated with a race that is steeped in history most notably with the legendary Arkle winning the race three years on the bounce from 1964 to 1966.

We’ve priced up the €100K steeplechase with the Willie Mullins-trained Djakadam currently heading the betting at 7/2.

Owner Barry Connell holds a strong entry with the Tony Martin-trained Sraid Padraig currently second favourite at 5/1 with another Connell owned horse, Foxrock who was just denied at the Foxrock venue at the Christmas Festival hot on his heels at 8/1.

The Thomas Foley-trained Followmeuptocarlow is next in the betting at 10/1 with last year’s winner, He’llberemembered, currently 14/1 to win the valuable handicap back-to-back.

Ted Walsh won the race in 2012 with Seabass and the County Kildare trainer will be hoping that he can claim the coveted prize with Foxrock who was just pinned on the line in a valuable Handicap Chase over the course at Christmas.
