Enable Cut For Eclipse Stakes & Prix de l’Arc Double

At the start of June, John Gosden’s 5-year old superstar mare Enable was as big as 6/1 to win the Eclipse Stakes at Sandown but following some heavy support and the final declarations she has been cut into the 8/11 favourite with BoyleSports.

This daughter of Nathaniel has won ten of her eleven races, remaining unbeaten in her last nine starts which includes her Breeders Cup Turf narrow win over Magical last November. Enable has not run since that victory and despite the long absence, the support remains strong for the two-time Prix de l’Arc winner.

John Gosden has won the Eclipse Stakes on seasonal debut before with Enable’s father Nathaniel but this talented mare will be aiming to break history come October by becoming the first horse to win three Prix de l’Arc races and BoyleSports are offering 9/2 for her to win both the Eclipse Stakes this Saturday and go on to Longchamp and create history.

The fact that Enable’s only defeat has come over ten furlongs reflects in the market as the punters are not put off by her absence from the track.

We have gradually cut her from 6/1 into 8/11 to win the Eclipse and 9/2 for the Eclipse/Arc double.

Should she win this Saturday at Sandown and show her wellbeing, the 9/2 will look like a bargain bet.
