Dermot Kennedy Backed For Grammy Glory Following Number 1 Spot
Dubliner Dermot Kennedy is being backed to win a Grammy award in the future with his odds cut into the lowest they have been since the betting was introduced.
Kennedy scored a 26th non-consecutive week at No.1 on the Official Irish Albums Chart,
…as Without Fear returned to the top spot last month for another week. The Rathcoole singer-songwriter’s debut album was Ireland’s most streamed album of the week, launching it to No.1 for the first time in six weeks.
BoyleSports traders have reported that a new burst of support has arrived for the Giants singer with his odds clipped into 6/1 from 8/1 to win a Grammy by the end of 2025.
Dublin musician David Balfe, who goes by the name of For Those I Love, is also being backed to win a Grammy gong in the future. The poet has already made high profile appearances on the likes of Later…With Jools Holland and was highlighted on RTÉ 2FM’s Rising list for 2021. Now he’s fallen into 3/1 from 20/1 for a Grammy after some speculative bets were placed on the Dubliner with those odds at a high of 100/1 last month.
