Odds Plummet On Line Of Duty’s Martin Compston To Be Next James Bond

The launch of the new series of Line of Duty has coincided with a gamble on Martin Compston being the next actor to play James Bond.

Daniel Craig’s final outing in the famous tuxedo in No Time To Die continues to be plagued by delays and now the popular Scot has entered the frame to replace him after being handed the seal of approval by Line of Duty co-star Adrian Dunbar.

Compston was a 50/1 outsider before Steve Arnott’s reappearance in the offices of AC-12 last Sunday,

but we have now slashed his odds on playing cinema’s most famous spy into just 7/2, leaving only two names ahead of him in the latest betting.

Long-time favourite Tom Hardy is hanging on as the front-runner at 2/1, while Grantchester’s James Norton is right in the mix as 9/4 second favourite.
