Piers Morgan Heavily Backed To Join News UK TV

ITV have confirmed that Piers Morgan has left his role at Good Morning Britain after receiving backlash for his controversial comments about Meghan Markle after she appeared on her headline-making interview with Oprah Winfrey.

He tweeted: “On Monday, I said I didn’t believe Meghan Markle in her Oprah interview. I’ve had time to reflect on this opinion, and I still don’t.”

Morgan was accused by Good Morning Britain weatherman Alex Beresford of continuing to ‘trash’ Meghan Markle after the Duchess of Sussex ‘cut-off’ their personal relationship which resulted in Piers storming off the set.

Our traders have received numerous requests for a price on what Piers Morgan will do next with a move to News UK TV well supported with those odds hammered into 4/6 favourite from 2/1.

It was announced last year that the Rupert Murdoch venture ‘News UK TV’ had received the go ahead to start broadcasting so perhaps that could be the next move for Piers Morgan having been linked to the role before his tantrum on ITV on Tuesday.

Ofcom have announced that it is investigating comments Morgan made about the interview with over 41,000 complaints. This hasn’t put punters off backing where they think he will go next however with a move to GB News 6/4 from 3/1 while BBC Breakfast is a 7/1 chance.

The former CNN presenter is 200/1 to move into Number 10 in the future and is a popular 10/1 shot from a high of 66/1 to shock viewers by joining the ‘I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here!’ camp later this year.
