Estonia Say Goodbye To Yesterday

As the Eurovision looms, there is the small matter of the semi-finals and semi-final 1 kicks off on Tuesday night.

Russia have yet to fail to qualify from a semi-final and this year’s looks to be no different as they are as short as 1/66.

Estonia failed to make it out of the semi-finals for five consecutive years when they were introduced in 2004 and twice after that, most recently in 2014.

They are 1/33 to make amends and qualify with ‘Goodbye To Yesterday’.

After failing to qualify last year, Georgia have come back fighting with their aptly titled track ‘Warrior’ and are 1/6 to qualify. Romania, who are represented by pop-rock band Voltaj, have never missed a final and are 1/6 to make it to the finals on Saturday 23rd May.

Belgium, like Georgia, failed to qualify last year, but at 1/4, look as though they will make it out of the semi-finals this time round. Those in qualification hot water are Moldova at 1/3, four time Eurovision Song Contest winner Netherlands at 2/5, 2007 winner Serbia at 3/5, Hungary at 4/6 and Denmark, who have won on three occasions, the most recent in 2013 with ‘Only Teardrops’, at 4/5.

The To Qualify betting for semi-final 1 looks very solid with numerous countries seeing short odds to make it to the finals. It’s a big year for Russia as they could be set for their second Eurovision Song Contest title and with odds of 1/66 to qualify it seems they will make it out of the semi-final with ease.

Denmark could be set for a fall from grace, having won in 2013 and hosting last year’s song contest, a 4/5 not to qualify from semi-final 1 on Tuesday night.
