Attacking Liverpool Could Be Disastrous For Man Utd

What a great turnaround by Manchester United last night.

I actually tipped Crystal Palace Draw No Bet in the game and was quite pleased with myself when they went 2-0 up.

I think Palace have enough firepower in their side to stay up. They’re waiting for Zaha to come back who’s a big miss. But when you’ve got Townsend, Sorloth and someone like Benteke, who is a handful even when he’s not in goalscoring form, you can cause problems in the Premier League.

Last night was one of those games that takes you back to times of the old Manchester United under Sir Alex Ferguson…

…where things weren’t going their way but they would turn things around with an dramatic comeback.

I think we learned something about this Manchester United team last night. They showed they do have a bit of bottle and steel, which has been a question mark under Jose Mourinho.

Man United v Liverpool
I think we’ll be talking about the relegation battle a lot more towards the end of the season but at the moment the race for second and third between Man United and Liverpool is fascinating.

Whoever wins their clash on Saturday afternoon will be confident that they at least have a Champions League spot secured for next season, particularly if Man United win it. That would give them a five-point cushion over Liverpool and a lot of breathing space.

Even if they don’t win on Saturday, I still see Liverpool having a great run in the Champions League. Any side that has to go to Anfield in that competition is going to struggle.

Jose Mourinho got plenty of stick for parking the bus when these sides met in Anfield earlier this season.

I think on Saturday they are going to have to come out and attack, the fans will demand it.

That could potentially play into Liverpool’s hands and they could really hurt them.

If United do come out and attack then Liverpool have got a great chance of taking all three points home from Old Trafford. Salah, Mane and Firmino are as good as anyone around and can get goals against any side in Europe.

If they do beat Man United on Saturday I think it will set them up nicely for a Champions League run because they’ll have the security of a Champions League spot next season at the back of their minds.
