Both sides go into the clash in good form and we’re in for a tasty encounter on Sunday night, with Xavi’s men in particular looking to close the gap on Real Betis in third, while also moving clear of Atletico Madrid – still with a game in hand.

Focus will be set on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who looks like he’s settling into life well at his new club as he bagged a hat-trick away at Valencia last weekend. But he caught the eye even further at Napoli in the Europa League on Thursday with another goal on the hour in a stunning 4-2 win.

The Gabon ace is well worth a look at all goalscorer markets. Fancy him to score first? 10/3. Fancy 2+ goals? Was 5/1, NOW 11/2! Another hat-trick, you say? 25/1.

Ousmane Dembele (13/2 first goalscorer) looks on the move this summer but he’s came back into the reckoning and started last week, providing an assist for Frenkie de Jong and lasting 71 minutes in the 4-1 win at Valencia. He also didn’t start Thursday night at Napoli, perhaps with a view to starting this Sunday.

Speaking of de Jong, the Dutchman also scored against on Thursday and is worth consideration for the anytime market at 4/1.

PRICE BOOST ALERT: Barcelona to win both halves was 6/4 and is NOW 13/8!

With Ferran Torres on the other flank supporting Aubameyang, Barca boss Xavi may well go with the front three yet again, meaning Adama Traore in particular will be on the substitutes’ bench despite a fairly good start on loan from Wolves.

Looking at the away side Bilbao, they’ll be up for it as they have European qualification hopes themselves, currently sitting in 8th and two points off the top six.

Don’t discount them up top, the last time they failed to score away from home was ten games ago on January 9th, while there’s been just two defeats in that run all competitions.

One of those was two matches ago in Mallorca, losing 3-2 – but they bounced back superbly at home with a 4-0 demolition of Real Sociedad last Sunday with four different goalscorers in Dani Vivian, Oihan Sanchet, Inaki Williams and Iker Muniain.

Sanchet (4/1 anytime) and Williams (3/1 anytime) are Bilbao’s top goalscorers in La Liga this season with six each, plus four and two assists, respectively. They are worth looking at.

It needs to be said, however, that Bilbao are the draw specialists on the road with the most out of any any side in the league (8 from 13 games).

To add to that, they have the second-best defensive record away from home with just eight goals conceded, which adds to the intrigue of this clash. A stern test for Barca, you might suggest.

Fancy the final outcome to be a draw? It might be worth considering at 3/1. Both teams to score and the match to be a draw is 9/2.

Looking at the goals market, Over 3.5 goals is 21/10 while Over 4.5 is 5/1. Over 3.5 goals and both teams to score is a tasty 11/4 shot.

As mentioned above, Xavi’s side have a great chance to catch Betis in third, with Manuel Pellegrini’s men playing in a mouth-watering Sevilla derby just hours before.

Lose that, and Barca know what they have to do come 8pm to move within a point and bolster their Champions League qualification hopes further.
