Betting Suspended As Moyes Set For West Ham

Betting has been suspended on David Moyes returning to the Premier League in the West Ham dugout with widespread reports that he is set for talks with the owners on Sunday.

The Hammers parted company with boss Manuel Pellegrini after their 2-1 home defeat to Leicester City on Saturday evening and former boss Moyes was the hot favourite to land the job when betting was opened following news of Pellegrini’s exit.

BoyleSports chalked the former Everton and Manchester United manager up at 1/4 but the price collapsed completely into 1/20 before they suspended betting on Sunday morning.

Eddie Howe (7/1), Rafa Benitez (8/1) and Chris Hughton (12/1) were the other names in the frame and are expected to head the market should Moyes’ expected appointment fall through.

The money for David Moyes was flooding in as soon as we opened the market and it was pretty relentless in the hours after the Pellegrini news broke.

As a result we’ve had to pull the betting as it looks suspiciously like a deal has already been struck.
