Betting Suspended On Stephen Kenny Leading Republic Of Ireland’s Euro 2024 Campaign
Irish punters are backing Stephen Kenny to lead the Republic of Ireland’s bid to qualify for Euro 2024.
While hopes for World Cup qualification were long since dashed after a terrible start in Group A, the 3-0 victory against Luxembourg on Sunday capped a promising end to the Republic of Ireland’s campaign and means the side have now gone six games unbeaten, scoring ten goals without reply in their last four.
Kenny’s contract however is due to expire next July before the start of the qualifiers for the Euro 2024 finals in Germany and midway through the Nations League campaign.
Although, the betting suggests punters are anticipating swift action from the FAI,
…as the chances of Stephen Kenny leading the Irish into the Euro 2024 qualifying campaign collapsed into 1/25 from the 2/1 available following the 1-0 home defeat by Luxembourg in March.
We have now suspended betting in the wake of the away victory in Luxembourg, which saw Republic of Ireland leapfrog their opponents to finish third in the group despite losing their first three matches.
