Coventry City Boss Mark Robins Seeks To Break QPR Hoodoo In Championship Battle
Coventry City will be kicking off as favourites as they look to bounce back from their opening day defeat when they face Queens Park Rangers at St. Andrews on Friday night.
The Sky Blues went down to a narrow 2-1 defeat to Bristol City last weekend and manager Mark Robins now faces a QPR side he has yet to beat in his managerial career in six previous attempts.
Coventry are edging the betting battle with six in ten backing them to get off the mark, so we’ve clipped them accordingly into 11/8 from 6/4 ahead of kick-off.
Fans can take positives, however, from a strong opening day record at home, with only two defeats in their opening home matches over the last 18 seasons.
BoyleSports have also trimmed the odds on a Coventry win in front of the TV cameras into 11/8 from 6/4.
Matt Godden, who opened his Championship account last weekend against Bristol City, is the pick of the goalscorers and is 5/1 from 11/2 to bag the opening goal of Coventry’s home campaign.
