Coventry Shorten To Get Championship Off To Winning Start Against Bristol City
Coventry have only lost one of their last five away league games against Bristol City (W2 D2 L1), going unbeaten in their last two trips.
The Sky Blues have been backed into 5/2 from 3/1 while Bristol City have been eased out to 6/5 favourites from 21/20.
Coventry have scored in six straight away matches in all competitions, and if last season is anything to go by, Coventry could start this game strongly. There star player Matthew Godden scored 14 goals last season.
He netted in Coventry’s last four league matches, grabbing the match opener before the 20th minute in the previous two. Godden, known as God for his goal contribution for the Sky Blues, is 2/1 from 5/2 to score anytime and 11/2 to score first.
Using BoyleSports’ Opta stats, Coventry have kept a clean sheet in the last 3 matches and are 21/20 to have the first shot on target and find the net. It’s a 5/4 chance that Over 8.5 shots on target are made in the match.
There will be no ‘singers’ in the stands but the Sky Blues travel to Ashton Gate for the first Championship match of the 2020/21 season and have already been backed into 5/2 from 3/1.
We are proud sponsors of Coventry and things are looking positive for the League One champions who are working their way back up through the leagues.
