Man United Title Odds Clipped After Cristiano Ronaldo Coup

Manchester United were the subject of increased support to wrestle the Premier League trophy off their local rivals after confirming a sensational return to the club for Cristiano Ronaldo on Friday.

The Portuguese international was believed to be on the verge of a move to Manchester City before a surprising late twist saw his former club confirm an agreement to bring him back to Old Trafford 12 years after he left for Real Madrid.

The chances of Manchester United winning the Premier League this year had been eased out to 15/2 after last week’s underwhelming draw with Southampton, but we cut them back into 6/1 within minutes of the club confirming the deal on Friday afternoon.
