Patriotic Support For Republic Of Ireland To Beat Serbia

Ireland travel to Serbia for their first 2022 World Cup qualifier this Wednesday and our traders have reported some patriotic support coming for the Boys In Green.

Ireland’s opening qualifying game will take place at the famous Red Star Stadium in the Serbian capital Belgrade and while the hosts are 4/6 favourites, there is some optimism that Stephen Kenny will get his first win on the board despite all the injuries.

Darren Randolph, Caoimhin Kelleher, Kevin Long, Conor Hourihane and Bristol City’s Callum O’Dowd are all out.

However, the chances of the Irish luck continuing from Cheltenham and the Six Nations last week, have been cut into 9/2 from 6/1 on Monday morning.

Only the ten group winners will guarantee a spot at the World Cup in Qatar in the winter of 2022, with the ten runners-up facing a two-match play-off route to the finals. The Irish are 9/1 to win their group with a top two finish rated as an 2/1 chance.
