Seeley’s Selection – Liverpool v Swansea

Liverpool v Swansea

Outright Betting

Has the tide turned at Anfield? Well BoyleSports odds-compiler certainly seem to think so by offering Brendan Rodgers side at just 4/6 to win on the live Monday night football when they host Swansea.

I can see improvements in this Liverpool side, but should they really be heavy odds on favourites against a side that are a one place HIGHER than them in the Premier League table?
The Reds’ are now unbeaten in their last three matches but who have the beaten?

Well they were impressive agains a 3-1 win against a reserve Bournemouth in the Capital One Cup, they where held to a 2-2 draw at home to Arsenal thanks to a last gasp equaliser and beat relegation favourites Burnley 1-0 on Boxing Day.

It’s hardly the form that you want to be lumping on at odds-on? The Reds’ have only won twice in their last eight home games and haven’t won at Anfield in their last three matches (drawing the lot) and the prices on this one are all wrong.

Rodgers’ may just find a way to win this game, but anybody taking them at these prices really should think about giving up betting in their New Years resolutions.
Swansea look great value to me at a massive 9/2 with BoyleSports and I also like them in the double chance market with the draw thrown in for good measure at a lovely industry stand-out 5/4 with BoyleSports.

Garry Monk has done an excellent job at the Liberty Stadium and they have already gone to Old Trafford this season and won and scored two goals at Stamford Bridge (no other team has managed that this season), this is a lot closer than BoyleSports suggest.

The Swans have won their last two matches both 1-0 and the 12/1 with BoyleSports on that happening again looks a decent shout.

One side is currently rock solid at the back the other is all at see. One side boasts a World class international striker and the other side doesn’t boast A striker.

Wilfried Bony is the striker and the Swansea hit-man (a potential January target for Liverpool) could really show his class in this one before he heads of to the African Cup of Nations.
Bony is a great bet to open the scoring at a massive 13/2 and he’s also a wager to score at anytime at 19/10.

The one thing this Liverpool defence can’t handle is pace and the Ivorian is one of the quickest around and I expect him to have a very good evening.

Seeley’s Selections:
Swansea Double Chance @ 5/4
Swansea To Win @ 9/2
Bony To Score 1st @ 13/2
Bony To Score Anytime @ 19/10

REMEMBER “Double Bubble” if Bony or any player nets the opening goal inside the first 20 minutes BoyleSports will double the odds on the winning selection.
