Seeley’s Selections – Bournemouth v Liverpool

Stats

Bournemouth v Liverpool

Match Betting

Another week and another massive match for Brendan Rodgers and Liverpool football club when they make the long trip down to the south coast to take on Bournemouth in the Capital One Cup quarter-finals.

I’ve put him up in this column at big prices to be the next manager to lose his job in the Premier League and a defeat in this one and we could collect before Christmas.

Liverpool just aren’t very good.

The did show some signs of improvement against Manchester United at the weekend, but they still lost 3-0; Rodgers will tell you in the press conference after that they did enough to win, but they lost 3-0!

They’ve only won twice in their last 10 matches and have been dumped out of the Champions League and are now big outsiders to make it back to the promised land next season via a top four finish in the Premier League, but yet the boys at Boylesports make them odds on 20/21 favourites to win this game. Why?

The main reason they know they have them at the price is because the punters love and will back them at any price, stop it NOW!!

Bournemouth, unlike their more illustrious opponents coming into this match flying.
Eddie Howe’s side are defying the odds at the top of the Championship and at 14/5 to win this one with BoyleSports; that is far to good to miss. The Cherries are unbeaten in their last 12 matches and at Dean Court they haven’t lost since September and on current form they are a worth a proper wager in this one.

One thing you always get in Bournemouth matches is goals and over 2.5 in the game in my opinion is in the bag at 4/5. At the weekend, the seasiders saw of Cardiff in a 5-3 thriller and the Dean Court faithful have been treated to 24 goals in their last five home matches, which have also seen both teams scoring in every one and at 7/10 with BoyleSports, that’s another bet I like here.

Callum Wilson is a striker bang in-form and he will relish the opportunity of going up against a shaky Liverpool defence that has conceded in 21 of their 24 games this season. Wilson netted his 10th league goal in the weekend win over Cardiff and at BoyleSports’ offer of 13/2 to grab the opener on Wednesday, that’s a decent shout as is the 9/5 on him just to score.

With both sides expected to grab a few goals, I believe this could be a real cup classic and at a massive price, I’m going to try to get into the festive spirit with a couple of quid on a 3-2 Bournemouth win which is available at a huge 28/1 with BoyleSports.

B Lucky!
