Seeley’s Selections – Champions League Wednesday

Real Madrid v Liverpool

Match Betting

Both English clubs have massive Champions League asks on Wednesday evening and I really think their is value in opposing the pair of them.

Liverpool v Real Madrid, 7.45pm, Sky Sports 5

Over at Anfield Liverpool entertain European champions Real Madrid and I can’t see anything other than a very convincing win for the visitors at 5/6.

Brendan Rogers’ men couldn’t cope with BOBBY ZAMORA at the weekend so how are they going to manage with the World’s best player Cristiano Ronaldo?

Ronaldo, has staggeringly scored in his last 10 games for Madrid netting three hat-tricks in the process and even though it’s looks on the short side, the 6/10 on him to score at Anfield with Boylesports is statistically far too big.

The 5/2 on him scoring the first goal also has to be backed, especially as Boylesports are doubling the odds if your goalscorer nets the opener inside the first 20 minutes.

The European champions though arrive in Merseyside in scintillating form with seven straight wins scoring an incredible 32 goals in the process and they are impossible to look past.

The Reds are 7/2 with Boylesports to cause a shock, and I’m sure they will be very popular with Boylesports punters but my advice is to steer well clear.

They can’t score goals without the departed Luis Suarez and injured Daniel Sturridge and at the back, well they are all over the place. Martin Skrtel and Dejan Lovern haven’t formed the best partnership and they’ve only managed to keep one clean sheet in their 11 games this season.

Madrid to win “to nil” looks very good in this one at 5/2 and I also like them to stroll to a very easy 2-0 victory at 9/1 both with Boylesports.

Seeley’s Selections:
Real Madrid To Win To Nil @ 5/2
Real Madrid 2 – 0 @ 9/1

Anderlecht v Arsenal, 7.45pm, Sky Sports 1

Arsenal make the short trip to Belgium to take on Anderlecht which is a lot tougher than the odds that the Boylesports compilers suggest.

Arsenal are 4/5 to win this one with Boylesports, two weeks ago I would have lumped on that but a fortnight on it’s to be avoided like the plague.

They have a 11 first team players out injured and will give a Champions League debut to rookie goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez with Wojciech Szczesny suspended and David Ospina injured.

Going forward they are still capable of goals with Alexis Sanchez and Danny Welbeck both on the scoresheet in the disappointing weekend 2-2 draw at the Emirates against Hull. Defensively though they are a shambles, conceding in eight of their last nines games.

Both teams to score looks the best bet in this one at 4/6 with Boylesports.

I can’t back the home side at 15/4 with Boylesports, after they were smashed 3-0 but Borussia Dortmund, but I do like them a lot in the “Double Chance” market at the 11/10 with Boylesports.

Arsenal drew 2-2 at the weekend, their third “Desmond” of the season. As I’ve said, I’m expecting goals so the 12/1 on another high scoring draw with Boylesports looks well worth taking.

Seeley’s Selections:
Both Teams To Score @ 4/6
Anderlecht Double Chance @ 11/10
Correct Score 2-2 @ 12/1
