Seeley’s Selections – Derby v Chelsea

Derby v Chelsea

Match Betting

The BoyleSports football boys are expecting a very one-sided affair on Tuesday night in the Capital One Cup quarter-final between Premier League title favourites Chelsea and Championship front runners Derby at the iPro Stadium.

Jose Mourinho’s side are just 40/85 with BoyleSports to win this and make it through to yet another Capital One Cup semi-final and when you look at the quality within their ranks, it’s very hard to make any argument against them.

They should win this one pretty comfortably, but i’m not going to get involved in the heavy odds-on quotes; there are much better ways to get involved in this one.
Derby are have only lost once at the iPro Stadium this season and some might fancy a small flutter on the Rams at the 11/2 with BoyleSports, but this is as tough as it gets for Steve McLaren’s men and even at that price, I’m not convinced.

Derby games usually see lots of goals and I don’t expect this one to be any different. 33 goals have featured in the last nine Derby matches and in their last match in this competition, they came through in a 5-2 thriller with Fulham.

Chelsea have won both their Capital One Cup games 2-1 against Bolton and Shrewsbury and both teams scoring in this one looks a decent option at BoyleSports’ 3/4. Both sides will have higher priorities this campaign than Capital One Cup success, but I can still see this being a decent watch and another 2-1 win for the Premier League side in the competition at BoyleSports’ 13/2 would be a much better way to get involved rather than just the short odds on them to win.

Derby haven’t won in their last nine matches against Chelsea and I fully expect them the Blues’ to make that a perfect 10 on Tuesday.

Last season the two met in the FA Cup with Chelsea winning 2-0 which is available at 6/1 with BoyleSports this time around.

In the last four matches between these two, Chelsea have scored 12 goals and a Blues win and both teams to score is also on my betting list in this one. Mourinho is expected to rest key players but Petr Cech, Andre Schurrle and Loic Remy should feature, which shows you exactly how tough the challenge is for McLaren’s side.
World Cup winner Schurrle is always a goal threat when given his chance for the Blues’ and at 5/1 with BoyleSports to open the scoring in a game where goals are expected he would be my first goalscorer selection.

B Lucky!
