Seeley’s Selections – League Two Play-Off Final

Wycome v Southend

Outright Betting

It’s the play-off weekend in the football league and the Wembley action starts with the League Two end of season showdown between Wycombe and Southend.

Nothing could separate these two after 46 games of the season and I fully expect another tight one at the weekend.

BoyleSports make Southend their slender 3/4 favourites to be playing in League One next season and it really is impossible to split the pair in my book.

In the two games the pair have played in this domestic season Southend are yet to win and I don’t think they will start in this one either.

Wycombe are 2/1 to keep up their unbeaten run with a win in 90-minutes and that’s not a bet for me. With nothing but goal difference splitting the two over 46 games I think the draw is the way to play in this one at 23/10.

The two played out a very entertaining 2-2 draw at Roots Hall earlier in the season and that was the third time in the last six meetings that this pair have faced each other and honours have been shared. It really does look the only option for punting on this busy weekend.

These two are amongst the most attack-minded teams in League Two and unlike recent play-off finals this could be a decent one with both teams really going for it.

There has been 31 goals scored in the last 10 meetings between the two and over 2.5 goals in the game looks reasonable at 6/5 with BoyleSports despite the money coming for the unders.

Both teams have also scored in nine of those 10 fixtures and also it would have been a winner in 13 of the last 18 Wycombe matches.

That is my banker on Saturday’s action at the 10/11 with BoyleSports.

With goals very much on the cards and honours more than likely to be even, I do fancy a couple of quid on the 2-2 which is 14/1 again with BoyleSports.

This pair have already played each other in a 2-2 draw earlier in the campaign and with the way the two managers like to play the game it’s impossible to see anything other than a few goals.

Barry Corr has been the main man for Southend this season with 15 goals already this term and at 6/1 with BoyleSports to open the scoring he will be very popular with the sea-siders fans to open the scoring.

Wycombe always turn to veteran Paul Hayes for goals and he also finished his campaign with 15 goals and of the two the 7/1 on offer for Hayes with BoyleSports that does tempt me more.

Seeley’s Selections:
Over 2.5 Goals @ 6/5
Both Teams To Score @ 10/11
Correct Score 2-2 @ 14/1
Paul Hayes First Goalscorer @ 7/1

B lucky.
