Seeley’s Selections – Man Utd v Cambridge

Stats

IT’S a another massive David v Goliath FA Cup clash on Tuesday night when the League Two minnows of Cambridge travel to Old Trafford to take on 11 times FA Cup winners Manchester United in the biggest game of their players’ lives.

So far in this year’s FA Cup competition the underdogs have certainly had their day but I think it could all go back to form in this one.

Most minnows have just ONE chance to beat a Premier League side and i think that Cambridge blew it last week in the 0-0 draw at the Abbey Stadium.

United are 1/14 with BoyleSports to win this one and although I do think they will win, I just couldn’t back any football team regardless of the difference in class at such short odds.

Cambridge are a massive 28/1 to win here with BoyleSports and in a round of massive shock results this will be the biggest one of the lot for me, but don’t worry as it won’t happen.

When we get very short price favourites like this it’s quite difficult to find the best way to play but I expect a very one sided win for the Premier League side and my first bet is on them -2 goals on the BoyleSports handicap at 4/6.

United scored three goals for the third home match in their last six games at the weekend and I can seem them cruising through to this one by an even a wider margin.

I honestly think United will take this came a lot more seriously than the visitors and manager Richard Money would rather three points at the weekend against high flying Wycombe which will keep their slim play-off hopes alive.

I like Louis Van Gaal’s side to ease through by a 4-0 margin at 6/1 with BoyleSports in a competition that they are taking very seriously this season.

The Dutchman would love to get his hands on the FA Cup in his first year at Old Trafford and he’s 11/4 with BoyleSports to do just that which is proving popular with punters and with an away trip to Sheffield United or Preston awaiting the winner you can see why.

It’s virtually impossible to second guess what side Van Gaal starts with in this one but one man who I expect to play is Radamel Falcao and the Colombian international at 5/2 with BoyleSports would be my choice to open the scoring after his goal at the weekend.

If he starts, which is a slight concern then I would also chuck a couple of quid on him to show his different class to the League Two side and grab a 3+ goals at 6/1 with BoyleSports.

Seeley’s Selections
Match Handicap: Man United To Win -2 @ 4/6
Correct Score: Man United To Win 4-0 @ 6/1
Falcao First Goalscorer @ 5/2
Falcao To Score 3+ goals @ 6/1
