Seeley’s Selections – Sunday’s Live Premier League

Just how good are Southampton? Well we will find out in the next couple of weeks starting on Sunday when they host the champions Manchester City at St Mary’s.

Southampton v Man City, Sunday 1.30pm, live on Sky Sports 1
Ronald Koeman has done a fantastic job on the south coast this season guiding the Saints to second in the Premier League with just two defeats all season, but the fixture list has been kind to them so far and now with a tough set of fixtures we will know if they are the real deal.

The Saints’ next three fixtures are Man City (h), Arsenal (a) and Man Utd (h) and we will know whether the short odds on them to finish in the top four will look the bargain of the season or the biggest joke price of all-time, I think the latter.
Koeman’s men were very average in their 1-1 draw with Aston Villa at an empty Villa Park on Monday night and they will have to be at their best if they are to beat the Champions.

The Saints are 9/4 to win this one with Boylesports and and their backers will take heart from their very good recent record against the Champions; they’ve won five and drawn one in their last six meetings, but I’m not tempted.

I can’t see them winning this one though, but saying that, I’m not convinced by the Boylesports’ offer of 13/10 on City either. City had an incredible Champions League night on Tuesday beating Bayern Munich 3-2 (which was tipped up in this column at 22/1) and just how much that game has taken out of them, would be a concern for me when backing them here.

They will be boosted by the return of midfield duo Ya Ya Toure and Fernandinho from suspension, but I’m still not tempted by them at the price. Sergio Aguero has been the main man at the Etihad this season and his hat-trick against Munich was one of the performances of the season.

Aguero is no surprise as the Boylesports 3/1 favourite to open the scoring and although it’s short, you simply can’t look past the Argentinian at the moment.
Remember – Double Bubble – If Aguero or any winning first goalscorer nets inside the opening 20 minutes Boylesports will double the odds on that player.

In the last 20 City matches Aguero has scored in 14 of them and the 5/6 on him just to net in this one looks a much safer option and the best bet in the match.

I can see goals in this game, but finding a winner is a lot, lot harder; I’m going to get splinters in my behind for sitting on the fence in this one but I do think the draw is the best way to play at Boylesports’ 5/2 and if playing a correct-score a 2-2 draw at 14/1 would be my likely score-line.

Seeley’s Selections:
Aguero to score anytime @ 5/6
Draw @ 5/2
Correct Score 2-2 @ 14/1

Tottenham v Everton, Sunday 4pm, live on Sky Sports 1
The Super Sunday offering this weekend comes from North London where Tottenham host Everton at White Hart Lane.

Both sides arrive here on the back of decent midweek Europa Cup wins, but it was Everton’s 2-0 victory in Germany over Wolfsburg which was the most impressive.
This looks one of the hardest matches on the Boylesports Premier League coupon to find a winner in, but one thing I will confidently predict is it’s going to be a decent game with a few goals in it.

My first bet in this one is for both teams to score; there are always goals at both ends in Tottenham games in 10 of their last 12 matches each side have scored. The BTTS in this one is available at 7/10 with Boylesports in this one and whichever way you play, in a single, double or accumulator, just make sure you get involved.

Everton were conceding goals for fun at the start of the season but Roberto Martinez’ side has been a lot more solid in recent weeks but they’ve conceded in their last eight visits to the Lane and that looks set to continue in this one.
Tottenham are the Boylesports 13/10 favourites here and they are unbeaten in the last six meetings with Everton, but on current form it’s impossible to back them.

The last two matches they’ve won against Hull and Aston Villa have been against 10 men and both with a 90th minute winner; I like my gambling a little more easier on the old ticker than that and providing Everton can keep 11 men one the pitch, they have a chance.

Martinez’ men are on a great run of form after an unbeaten run of eight matches. They look tempting here at the 11/5 on offer but I can that unbeaten run continuing but with a draw which is available at a massive 13/5 with Boylesports.

I like all the live games this weekend to see lots of goals and this one really could cap another great Premier League weekend. Check out my enhanced BTTS treble this weekend at 6/1 on Boylesports.com. I fancy another “desmond” 2-2 which is decent at Boylesports’ 12/1 and if you want a goalscorer, Kevin Mirallas was unplayable in midweek against Wolfsburg and the 8/1 with Boylesports on the Belgium international to net the opener in this one against a leaky Tottenham defence, is the way to go.

Hopefuly Mirallas can net an early one and land the “Double Bubble” – if your winning first goalscorer selection nets inside the opening 20 minutes Boylesports will double the odds on that winning selection.

B Lucky!

Seeley’s Selections:
Both teams to score @ 7/10
Draw @ 13/5
Correct Score 2-2 @ 12/1
Kevin Mirallas First Goalscorer @ 8/1 (16/1 Double Bubble)
