Seeley’s Selections – Sunday’s Live Premier League Games

TWO of the Premier League’s out of form sides clash in Sunday’s opening live offering when Liverpool travel to the Capital to take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

Last season Liverpool made this trip as 1/7 favourites to win the Premier League and threw a 3-0 lead away late in the second half and with it the title. A few months later they make the trip in a lowly 11th in the Premier League and on a terrible run of just one win in their last six matches.

As you will know by now, I can never back odds-on shots away from home in the Premier League and regardless if they win or lose if you are contemplating a bet on the Reds in this one at Boylesports 20/23, you are doing it all wrong.

Liverpool are without a win in their last five visits to Selhurst Park

and in midweek have a crucial Champions League trip to Bulgaria to face Ludogorets and at odds-on, jog-on.
Saying that though I wouldn’t be rushing to back the 7/2 that Boylesports offering on the home side either.

Crystal Palace haven’t won in their last five matches with four defeats in that period, they played OK in their last Premier League outing at Old Trafford going down 1-0 but in their last home match they were terrible losing 3-1 to Sunderland.

You know what they say about returning to an old job? Don’t.. and Neil Warnock looks a perfect example of that at present. Warnock’s record as a Premier League manager is poor to say the least, averaging just one point per game and I think that record will continue with a draw here at a massive 11/4 with Boylesports.

On a very cold, wet Sunday afternoon I would suggest a trip around the mother-in-laws, walk the dog or maybe do a bit of early Christmas shopping rather than watch this one but if you decide to stay in then stick a quid on no goalscorer at 9/1.

Hull v Tottenham
The late Sunday afternoon Premier League offering isn’t much better so you might want to make a day of it out crimbo shopping.

Hull host Tottenham at the KC and it may not be the best matche of the weekend but it certainly is one of the trickiest.

Both of these sides are in poor form and it’s very hard for Boylesports odds compilers to find a clear favourite but they have made the the visitors the jollies in this one at a very short one indeed at 23/20.

Tottenham can’t be trusted at those odds with just two wins from their last nine Premier League matches, they celebrated their last win at Aston Villa as though they just won the Champions League not a side languishing in 12th place in the Premier League table.

They have also lost their last three road trips and at that price it should come with a “public wealth warning”.

Steve Bruces’ side can’t be trusted either – they are sliding down the table faster than Eddie “The Eagle” Edwards and as such, they can’t be touched at Boylesports 13/5.

The Tigers, have been playing like pussy cats recently with just one win in their last 10 matches and have only won twice in the Premier League all season, how you could trust with them with your readies on Sunday afternoon is a mystery to me.

Last season this game ended in a stalemate and I really can’t make a any kind of case for either side and the draw looks the most likely outcome

and it’s the biggest price of the three at a massive 5/2 with Boylesports which rarely makes any sense.

Tottenham’s big problem has been getting the forwards to score goals and with only one goal in the Premier League this campaign the 5/1 with Boylesports on Harry Kane to net the opener is not to be touched as is the 11/2 available on the chuckle brothers Roberto Soldado and Emmanuel Adebayor.

This season we have seen a lot of players scoring against their former clubs and at a massive 33/1 it’s well worth a small play on Michael Dawson to get the opener for Hull against a Tottenham side that has struggled all season from set-pieces.

REMEMBER – DOUBLE BUBBLE – on all Premier League matches this weekend if you first goalscorer nets inside the first 20 minutes Boylesports will double the odds on your winning selection so if lets hope Dawson connects with an early header and get a bit of 66s.
