Seeley’s Selections – Wales v Cyprus

Stats

Wales v Cyprus

Outright Betting

A great weekend for follows of this column when we advised a 1-0 Scotland win at 9/2 and a 2-0 Northern Ireland victory at 17/4 so lets play up some of last weeks winnings this week.

On Monday we will look to hit Boylesports where it hurts yet again in the Group B Euro 20016 qualifier between Wales and Cyprus.
Wales played out a goalless draw in midweek with Bosnia and I think that Welsh backers at 4/9 with Boylesports will get their fingers burnt again here.

The Welsh have just won two of their last seven home matches and at big odds-on to win against the improving Cypriots, I can’t get financial involved in Chris Colemans’ one-man band.

In the Bosnian game the plan from the Bosnians was to stop Gareth Bale, if you can do that you have every chance of getting something and this physical tough Cyprus side will look to do the same in Cardiff.

It’s a lot easier said then done and the Welsh ace is 2/1 to score the first goal and just 8/13 to score at anytime with Boylesports…..not for me though.

The last time the two met the Welsh won 3-1 which is 12/1 this time around with Boylesports but with injures to key players Aaron Ramsey, Joe Allen and Wigan midfielder Emyr Huws this will be a lot lot closer than Boylesports are anticipating.

Cyprus started of their Euro qualification with a 2-1 win away in Bosnia but they came to down to earth with a large bang against a 2-1 home defeat to Israel.

The visitors are 15/2 with Boylesports to get back to winning ways, which might tempt some but not me.

I do like them on the handicap though +1 goal at 7/4 in what I think will be a very very close match-up.

This is a hugely important match for both nations with defeat a disaster for their qualification chances, I can see this being a very cagey affair and the draw makes the best bet in the match at 3/1.

I can’t see many goals either and I would make a small case for under three goals in the game which is 8/13 with Boyleports.
Four of the Welsh last six home games have seen less than three goals and in a such crucial match for both this is certain to be very tight.

Two of Wales last 10 internationals have been 0-0 draws and two of their last 10 internationals have been 1-1 draws which makes both score-lines a 4/1 chance at 7/1 on the two score lines, it could pay to play both with Boylesports.

It’s very hard to find a goalscorer in the match as I think no goalscorer is a serious contender again at 7/1 , but if you do manage to unearth a gem then REMEMBER that Boylesports will be refunding stakes on all losing first goalscorer bets if your player scores the second goal of the game.

B Lucky!
