Seeley’s Selections – Wednesday’s Champions League

Two live Champions League matches on Wednesday for Boylesports punters to get involved with and I’m expecting two very different matches.

Arsenal v Galatasaray, 7.45pm, Sky Sports 1
The first match is at the Emirates where Arsenal will be looking to bounce back from their Champions League Group D opening defeat against Borussia Dortmund.

The Gunners are available at 11/20 with Boylesports and although I do fancy them to prevail just, I couldn’t be tempted at those odds.

This is going to be a very tricky night for the “Wenger Boys” and it might take them a bit of time to break down the Turkish bus that will be parked in North London, but to the delight of their fans they will do.

I really like the draw (half-time) Arsenal (full-time) double result at 10/3 with Boylesports.

In their only home win this season against Crystal Palace, that was the outcome in the match and if you backed it last season you would have made a very healthy profit. I really can’t see many goals, under three goals have featured in four of Galatasaray’s five games this season and I don’t expect many in this match-up, under three goals in the game is a decent wager at 11/10 with Boylesports.

Seeley’s Selection: Draw HT/Arsenal FT 10/3

FC Basel v Liverpool, 7.45pm, Sky Sports 5 & RTE2
In the night’s other live offering, Liverpool face a tricky encounter when they travel to Switzerland to face Basel in Group B. Could you back Brendan Rodgers’ side on current form at 11/10? No, neither can I.

The Reds are without a win in their last three matches and have conceded six goals in the process and that is where we should concentrate all our betting in this one on goals. Rodgers’s side have kept just two clean sheets in their last 17 matches and both teams have scored in seven of their eight games this campaign.

Basel are top of the Swiss Super League but they to have problems at the back, keeping just one clean sheet in their 11 matches this season and with both teams scoring in nine of them. “BTTS” is the best bet at 8/13 with Boylesports in a game that promises to be an entertaining one with lots of goal action.

Also have a cheeky wager on Swiss international Marco Streller at 13/2 to open the scoring or 21/10 just to score at anytime with Boylesports.

The giant 6ft 5in striker will cause a leaky Reds defence big, big problems, he’s started the Swiss Super League in a rich vein of form with four goals from five starts and he’s record for Basel is very impressive with 90 goals in 194 appearances.

Seeley’s Selection: Marco Streller First Goalscorer 13/2

B Lucky!
