Van Gaal And Giggs Now Sleeping In Separate Beds

An Old Trafford insider has heightened speculation of a rift between Louis van Gaal and Ryan Giggs by revealing that the Manchester United boss and his assistant sleep in separate beds.

Rumours of a rift surfaced on Wednesday night after Giggs’ stony-faced reaction to his side’s last-minute winner at Newcastle. It was in stark contrast to van Gaal’s uncharacteristic celebrations.

All had seemed rosy between the odd couple but it appears Giggs is not happy at how the relationship is going.

Studies have shown that one of the most common causes of rows between couples is overspending, which may be a factor in the discord.

However the most common cause of arguments is not paying attention to your partner, and while Giggs’ preference is for attacking football, it is clear van Gaal is not listening.

Tim Sherwood Really Good Now That Someone Else Scored A Penalty

The football world has decided Tim Sherwood is good at this management lark now after another man scored an injury-time penalty.

The victory for Aston Villa, against West Brom, brings Sherwood’s win ratio to 33.33% – already better than Villa legends such as Alex McLeish, Josef Venglos & Paul Lambert.

However, it would have been 0% had Christian Benteke not converted a crucial injury-time penalty, which would have been a record even worse than Alan Shearer’s during his stint as caretaker boss at Newcastle United.

Villa meet the Baggies again in the FA Cup this weekend, where a defeat will no doubt revert Sherwood’s reputation back to being a dubious appointment.

Paul Scholes’ Family Never Heard Him Speak Until Retirement

It has been revealed that Paul Scholes’ family never heard the 40-year-old speak until his retirement from football in 2013.

The former midfielder was a muted character throughout his career but has become an outspoken pundit since hanging up his boots. He’s been particularly critical of Manchester United’s football under Louis van Gaal, stating on Wednesday that United were worse than they were before spending £220 million in the last 18 months.

While most people’s first words are “mummy” or “daddy”, Scholes’ were “the players have let Moyes down there”.

A source close to the player said, “He’s just come out of his shell. Even on his wedding day, he just nodded his head slightly rather than say “I do”. He’s taken great delight in spouting new words, his favourite at the moment being ‘nobhead’”.

However, others aren’t as welcoming at his new-found gregarious nature, with van Gaal apparently wondering when Scholes will “shut the f&*k up”.
