The €100K Grade B BoyleSports Hurdle which was won last year in tremendous style by the Enda Bolger-trained Gilgamboa has attracted some high class entries for the 2015 renewal at Leopardstown Racecourse on January 18th.

Ireland’s largest independent bookmaker currently has a 10/1 four way tie for favouritism. Snake Eyes, Waxies Dargle, the Willie Mullins-trained Lucky Bridle and Tony Martin’s Shemshal all head the betting at 10/1.

In the past two years, Gordon Elliott has been knocking on the door having gone close in 2013 with Rocky Wednesday and last year with Flaxen Flare. The county Meath handler holds five entries with last year’s Triumph Hurdle winner, Tiger Roll, currently 20/1 alongside Shadow Catcher and 2013 runner up Rocky Wednesday. Roll It Out and Fort Smith, who are both currently 25/1, make up Elliott’s five strong entries.

As an industry exclusive, BoyleSports are also Non-Runner Money Back on the race which takes place on Sunday January 18th at Leopardstown.

Leon Blanche, Head of Communications at BoyleSports said “The 2015 renewal of the BoyleSports Hurdle has attracted a strong field of entries and if the winner of this year’s race can live up to the achievements of last year’s winner, Gilgamboa, we are certainly in for a treat.”

He added “Since pricing up the race on Tuesday morning the first mover has been the Tony Martin-trained Shemshal who is now 10/1 co favourite having been supported in from 16/1 following support in our County Meath shops. No doubt we are sure to see plenty of movers in the market in the coming weeks following the relaxation of our Ante Post rules. With NRMB and the race now moved forward to Sunday January 18th in conjunction with the help of Leopardstown, it will now avoid a clash with Cheltenham Trials Day and we are expecting an increase in turnover from last year’s race.”
