Fury Odds-On For Redemption in Fury vs Wilder II, As Wilder ‘Confirms’ Rematch

Deontay Wilder took to his Instagram on Tuesday to ‘confirm’ a rematch against Tyson Fury after controversy plagued their draw at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday.

The WBC heavyweight champion is hoping to end criticism that Fury was the rightful winner of the fight after a judge’s scoring was called into question by fans.

Tyson ‘The Gypsy King’ Fury made no qualms about his thoughts on the result of the match and the betting is suggesting that he will have the comeback he intended as he is the 8/11 favourite to win the bout.

Wilder, who will put his WBC belt on the line in the bout, is 6/5 with another draw unlikely at odds of 22/1.

Both Wilder and Fury have been linked to potential bouts with WBA, WBO and IBF champion Anthony Joshua and it is expected that the winner of the rematch will secure a spot in the ring on April 13th at Wembley, when Joshua’s next title defence is booked for.

Former world champion Fury is a 5/4 shot to fend off Joshua, who is currently priced at 8/13, and reclaim what he is referring to as ‘his’ titles. Should Wilder and Joshua meet, he is 7/4 to win with the unified world champion seeing red hot odds of 4/9.

It was a draw that has been riddled with controversy leaving a bad taste in not only boxing fans’ mouths but clearly Wilder and Fury’s as Wilder came out to call for a rematch to ‘end the controversial talk around the world once and for all’. The odds are in Fury’s corner at 8/11 he will get the comeback he has been working two years to get and…

should he live up to those odds, Joshua is waiting.
