Dublin Dominance Backed To Continue Despite Inter-County Delay

Dublin are being backed to reassert their GAA dominance when they return to the pitch despite the sport receiving a setback to the proposed schedule for the upcoming inter-county season.

It had been hoped that a return to training would facilitate a National League campaign kicking off in late March, but clarification from the government on Thursday confirmed no activity can take place before Easter.

Dublin had already shortened into 5/2 from 7/2 for a National League/All-Ireland double in 2021 and backers will be hopeful that the prospect remains on course as the GAA restated intentions to for the league campaign to go ahead as they await revised government guidelines.

Dessie Farrell’s side landed a seventh All-Ireland Senior Football title in succession last year and are already odds-on at 4/6 to retain their crown this season.

Although, some optimistic punters are looking even further ahead, with ten-in-a-row shortening into 11/2 from 8/1,

…while the chances of Dublin lifting Sam Maguire in every season up to and including 2026 have been clipped into 14/1 from 25/1.
