Shane Dowling Says Galway are great value at for All-Ireland SHC success.

All-Ireland winner and former Limerick hurler Shane Dowling is hopeful of Limerick winning back-to-back All-Ireland SHC titles but has made a strong case for Galway.

The Na Piarsaigh man spoke exclusively to Leon Blanche this week and thinks the Tribesmen are great value having made a great start to the National Hurling League.

He said: “Limerick can win back-to-back All-Ireland SHC titles but it’s not that straight forward. It’s going to be far from easy and they found that out in their first two matches of the league campaign. They have the ability to do it, but you need so many things to go right for you with injuries and suspensions. Their strength and depth is impressive. In saying that, Limerick have drifted out in the betting to 6/5 because Galway have been so impressive.”

“Galway were much better than Limerick in their league match in Salthill and it was a huge boost for them psychologically as they found out what they needed to do to beat them.”

Dowling went on to make a strong case for Galway to be crowned this year’s All-Ireland SHC winners.
