Sheedy Favourite To Bag Second All-Ireland With Tipp

Legendary Kilkenny manager Brian Cody is being backed to come a cropper against counterpart Liam Sheedy for the second time in an All-Ireland SHC Final with Tipperary shading favouritism for Sunday’s clash at Croke Park.

Nine years on from his 2010 Final victory over the Cats, Sheedy finds himself in the opposing dugout to Cody in an All-Ireland decider for the third time in his career with one victory apiece, but it’s the Tipp boss who is being backed to earn the bragging rights come tea-time on Sunday.

The Premier County are 8/11 favourites to get their hands on the Liam MacCarthy Cup for the 28th time,

…while Kilkenny are 11/10 outsiders to deliver Cody a 12th All-Ireland title as manager.

The betting however suggests a very tight encounter, with a 1-point handicap against Tipperary enough to make Kilkenny favourites at 5/6. Ballyhale Shamrocks Forward TJ Reid is also leading the market to be named RTÉ’s Man of the Match.

The draw is the only outcome that has seen its odds clipped since the market opened after it closed into 8/1 from 9/1 which is an indication of how tight our customers are expecting this one to be.
