GAA Betting Tips DIarmuid Connolly

GAA National Football League Division 1 Betting Tips | Diarmuid Connolly

Diarmuid Connolly spoke to our own Leon Blanche this week about the National Football League and who he thinks is good value in Division One.

Currently in the betting, Kerry are the closely followed favourites at 5/4 but Diarmuid believes that there’s a lot of value in the outright market insisting Dublin at 5/2 & especially Mayo at 6/1 are good value.

The six-time All-Ireland winner said: “If you look at the top four Kerry, Dublin, Mayo and Tyrone there wasn’t a whole pile between them come the All-Ireland SFC last year and there are some big prices available. Mayo at 6/1 is a huge price in the betting. I know they haven’t won the league in a good few years but it’s a great price.

Kerry at 5/4 is very short, I think. I know Dublin didn’t win it last year as there was no winner in the league but 5/2 is still a very good price for the Boys In Blue. They have a bit to prove after losing in the semi-finals of the All-Ireland last year and there will be players looking for places.

“5/2 is huge price for Dublin but where I see the value for the league this year is Mayo at 6/1. They have a couple of nice home fixtures and it’s always a hard place to go to Castlebar and get a result.

Diarmuid also spoke about youth being on the side of Mayo: “James Horan has been building a serious squad there and they are very young. They are after keeping Oisin Mullin as he isn’t heading away so that is a huge plus for Mayo coming into the new season.”
