Lar Corbett Signs up as New BoyleSports Hurling Ambassador

Three-time All-Star and Tipperary hurling legend Lar Corbett has joined BoyleSports as their new GAA Hurling ambassador.
Over a fifteen-year period, Corbett played as a left corner-forward for his native Tipperary and has been decorated as one of the most prolific goal scorers of all time.
One of the big clashes to look forward to this Saturday is between Limerick and Waterford with the two-time All-Ireland winner showing huge admiration for the Treaty County.
Lar said “This is the standout game of the weekend for me and I really like Limerick, a couple of months ago they came back a different team. I like their style of play and how they keep it short and pass the ball around to each other. They are the form team of the league and I can see them cover the 5 point handicap spread against Waterford.”
“With the panel of players John Kiely has coming and the guys that they have fighting to get onto the field, shows that they will be too strong for Liam Cahill’s team this weekend.”
Corbett also gave his thoughts on his own county Tipperary ahead of their clash against Galway this Sunday away from home with the Premier County yet to find a victory in the league so far this season.

“If there was ever a 50/50 game, this is the game and it’s very hard to call.”

“Yes, Tipperary need the two points here but it’s not as important at this early stage. Liam Sheedy is building his panel of players here and we want to find out more about what championship players we have this weekend.”
“Because Tipperary are after losing their first two matches, they will be focusing on this game a bit more than their opening games. I think the Tipp players will find a bit of form in this match with the new guys that are coming along with last year’s hurler of the year Seamus Callanan looking for game time and those 2 points. The focus here will be Tipperary getting close to knowing our championship team more so than our league team.”
