Confident Lowry Backed For Green Jacket At The Masters

Shane Lowry is being well backed to compete at the business end of the leaderboard at The Masters after sounding notes of optimism when arriving at Augusta this week.

His tied-25th behind Dustin Johnson in November’s rescheduled renewal was his strongest Augusta showing to date, but the Clara man is in bullish mood about improving his record, saying all aspects of his game are in good shape and that ‘something special’ could happen in the coming weeks.

Lowry was a 66/1 shot at the start of the week to bag the second major of his career following his Open Championship win in 2019,

but his chances of becoming the first Irishman to wear the Green Jacket are now rated at 60/1 after we trimmed his odds on Tuesday.

The current World Number 44 has also been backed down to 11/2 from 7/1 to finish inside the top ten as he did at The Players Championship last month after hitting three rounds in the 60s.

We’re paying TEN PLACES on each-way bets for the first major championship of the season, The Masters!
