Lowry Bashes BoyleSports For €150,000

Following Shane Lowry’s victory in the WGC Bridgestone Invitational, we can report that the Offaly golfer was a whopping €150,000 loser for the firm.

Numerous bets were placed on the golfer at 125/1 prior to the tournament commencing including one bet of €150 each way at 125/1 netting a whopping €23,737.50. Lowry was priced at 13/2 heading into the final round on Sunday and was also latched onto by punters with €2,000 laid on him at 13/2 by one confident punter prior to the final round teeing off.

Ahead of this week’s USPGA Championship, Lowry is now 40/1 from 100/1 to win his first career Major.

Jordan Speith currently heads the betting at 13/2.

Lowry can be backed at 3/1 to win a Major before the end of 2020 whilst the Offaly native is on offer at 4/9 to be named on the 2016 European Ryder Cup team.
